Akalo, Uganda – December will see motocross fans gather in Akalo for the X Games Motocross 2024, a thrilling event organized under the Federation of Motorsports Clubs of Uganda (FMU). Led by Owera Anthony Bryan, also known as “Biggs,” the event promises to be a landmark moment for the local motocross scene.
X Games was first introduced in 2022, debuting at Lira P.7 School. Although the event was paused after the unfortunate loss of a team member, the community has rallied to bring it back, with Akalo hosting this year’s edition on December 22.

Riders from Kampala and the Lira bikers will join forces, and the event is set to showcase daring jumps, technical jams, and challenging racetrack sections.
“This is more than just a race,” said Biggs. “It’s an opportunity for the people of Lango to experience modern motocross. We’ve transitioned from grass track racing to a newly designed racetrack, the first of its kind here.”
Biggs hopes to inspire local support for the sport, with dreams of eventually hosting the national championship in Lango. Fans and newcomers alike are invited to come, enjoy, and witness this historic event.
