The Organisers of Lango Entertainment Awards [LEA] has released their shortlist for the 6th Annual “Golden Lango Awards”.
On Tuesday, the names of different nominees under 21 categories in the Entertainment art were displayed waiting for votings to kick off as we wait for the Award ceremony be held on Saturday 18th March 2023
Lango Entertainment Awards is an annual event that was launched in 2016.
It recognizes and awards excellence in the different spheres of the entertainment industry in Lango sub region.
Later on in 2018, the committee introduced special recognition categories to appreciate our neighbors of Teso, WestNile and Acholi.
Following the outbreak of COVID-19, the entertainment industry went crippling and this greatly affected several events in the country.
The press release by the committee late last year 2022 stated that they were able to hold LEA20 as an online event in March 2021 although 2021 became a nightmare due to numerous challenges resulting to sime winners moving home without accolades.
Besides the numerous challenges, LEA is back and Bold with over 20 categories as new categories introduced as well.
