His Highness Yosam Odur Ebii, the Paramount Chief of Lango , has announced significant changes in his cabinet. The decision, communicated in a letter addressed to the Speaker of the Lango Cultural Foundation, highlighted the outcomes of a council meeting held at the Lango Cultural Centre on September 29th.
According to the letter, the council of Owitong decided that the reshuffled members of the cabinet should resume their respective positions, as the newly appointed individuals did not receive approval. The letter emphasized the council’s resolution, stating, “In that meeting, the council decided the members of the cabinet I had reshuffled should continue serving in their respective positions as the new appointees were not approved.” His Highness Yosam Odur Ebii stated in the letter.
The move to reinstate the original cabinet members is aimed at restoring harmony and ensuring effective administration within the Lango Cultural Foundation. The Won Nyaci expressed his acceptance of the council’s decision in the statement, saying, “I accept the council’s decision. I accordingly therefore inform you that I have reinstated the entire cabinet.”
In addition to the cabinet reinstatements, the press release announced the appointment of six senior advisors to the office of His Highness the Won Nyaci of Lango. The appointed advisors include Mr. Fredrick Ogwal Oyee, Dr. LAURY Lawrence Ocen, Francis Xavier Abaca, Eng. Richard Enen, Mr. ALEX Ogwal, and Paul Ojok.
During a press briefing, the Information Minister at Lango Cultural Foundation, Ocen Jacob revealed that the reinstated and appointed members are expected to play a crucial role in preparing for the upcoming elections in November 2024.
He clarified that the reinstated members would not undergo cabinet approval and would await guidance from Prime Minister Eng. Robert James Abal, who has also been reinstated. Jacob emphasized that the council had previously approved them, and there is no need for a repeat approval process.
