Aduku Catholic Parish’s Rev. Father Rogers Okello has advised students to avoid behaviors that could jeopardize their future, warning them against the misconception that wealth and success can be attained solely through relationships.
He emphasized the importance of hard work and dedication during a special dedication ceremony held at Inomo Secondary School in Kwania on October 9, 2024. The event, aimed at preparing 154 candidates for the upcoming Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams, featured various performances by students and speeches from notable figures.
In his address, Father Okello highlighted the significance of spiritual grounding and moral discipline, urging the students to steer clear of distractions and temptations that could derail their academic progress. The priest’s message resonated with both students and parents, who were in attendance to support the candidates as they prepared for the national exams, set to commence next Monday.
Mr. Joe Robinson Okwir, the Headteacher of Inomo Secondary School, advised the candidates to stay calm and focused during the exam period.
He emphasized that these 154 candidates are the pioneers of the new curriculum and commended the parents for their unwavering support in their children’s education.
Inomo Secondary School, one of the leading institutions in West Lango, continues to make strides in enhancing its academic offerings, recently introducing advanced-level classes to address challenges related to A-level enrollment.
The ceremony attracted a range of attendees, including parents, well-wishers, and local leaders, all of whom encouraged the students to stay focused on their studies. One candidate expressed confidence in their readiness for success, reflecting the school’s commitment to academic excellence.
