Police in Kampala Metropolitan are investigating a brutal attack that unfolded in Kizungu zone, Makindye Division, on January 2, 2025, leaving a trail of destruction, injuries, and theft.
The incident was reported by Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, a 28-year-old musician and resident of Kizungu zone.
According to police reports, the suspects include Mayanja Pius, alias Pallaso, a fellow musician, and other unidentified individuals. They are accused of crimes involving suspected aggravated robbery and malicious damage. The victims of the attack have been identified as Nyanzi Joseph, Mugabi Julius, and Becker.
In a statement released Thursday afternoon, SSP Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, provided details of the incident. “Preliminary investigations suggest that the reporter and the suspect had a disagreement while performing at a venue in Buloba, Wakiso District. The dispute escalated, leading to the attack on Alien Skin’s residence,” he said.
Reports has it that the confrontation originated during Crysto Panda’s concert. Allegedly, Alien Skin’s entourage attempted to block Pallaso from performing. When Pallaso managed to perform, he reportedly taunted Alien Skin. However, as he left the stage, he was attacked by individuals believed to be associated with Alien Skin.
The conflict escalated later in the night when the suspects, armed with pangas, pit axes, hammers, and stones, launched two separate attacks on Alien Skin’s residence.
“The first attack occurred at around 3:00AM but was repelled by police from Makindye Police Station,” Mr. Onyango reported. “A second attack at 9:00AM caused significant destruction, including shattered windows of five vehicles, damage to three houses, and theft of Shs6 million in cash. Two victims are receiving treatment at Mengo Hospital.”
Police are appealing to the public for information to aid their ongoing investigations.
