In a dazzling display of beauty and talent, Ms. Acaa Pamela from Kitgum District has been crowned the winner of the Miss Tourism Northern Uganda 2023/24 edition. The prestigious pageant took place on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023, at Bomah Hotel Gulu, where contestants from the region showcased their fashion sense and intellectual prowess.
Ms. Acaa Pamela’s victory marks her as the 11th queen to represent the northern region in the Miss Tourism competition, succeeding the reigning queen, Ms. Alaba Charity. Not only did she capture the crown, but Ms. Acaa also impressed the judges with her exceptional talent, earning her the title of Miss Talent.

Joining Ms. Acaa in the winners’ circle are the first runner-up, Ms.ello Genevieve from Alebtong, and the second runner-up, Ms. Angeyo Juliet from Ag district. Additionally, Ms. Angeyo was bestowed with the honor of being crowned Miss Popularity, further highlighting her appeal among the audience.
The triumphant trio, Ms. Acaa Pamela, Ms. Akello Genevieve, and Ms. Angeyo Juliet, will now prepare to compete in the national contest scheduled for September 9th at the esteemed Kampala Serena Hotel.
They will be joined by contestants from 12 other tourism regions of Uganda, including Teso, Karamoja, West Nile, Buganda, Bunyoro, Tororo, and more. The theme for this year’s national contest is “Greening Tourism,” emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices in the tourism industry.
The ultimate winner of the national contest will have the privilege of dethroning the current reigning queen, Ms. Nabulya Sydney Kavuma, who holds the title of Miss Tourism 2022/23.
At the grand finale, Miss Tourism Uganda winner takes home different prizes, including cash, a car, and a land title, among others.
Later in the year, Miss Tourism 2023/24 gets to represent Uganda in Miss Tourism International that takes place in Malaysia every year.
