Church Boy Takes the Northern Uganda Gospel Scene by Storm with VIGA Music Award Win

Kampala-based, Lango gospel singer Church Boy has recently been crowned Northern Uganda gospel artist of the year at the 11th edition of the VIGA Music Awards.

Church Boy, whose real name is Bonnie Obwol, emerged victorious over other talented artists such as Romeo Odong, Young Key, Chosen Michael, Gospel Armour, and Mungu Feni in the Northern category.

This recognition comes after he won the Lango sub-region gospel artist of the year award at the NUMA awards last year and this is a huge achievement for the Gen Obanga crooner, who has been making waves in the gospel music industry for a while now.

His unique sound and style have earned him a growing fan base across Uganda and beyond. Church Boy’s success story is an inspiration to many young gospel musicians who are trying to make a name for themselves in the industry.
