Okeng, Professa Maros, Rapper A`shaan Nominated in the 2023 HiPipo Awards.

In an Exciting news around entertainment, Northern Uganda’s very own Okeng Born Town, Professa Maros, and the outstanding female rapper Ashaan have been nominated for the prestigious 12th edition of the HiPipo Music Awards 2023.

The nominations, announced recently, have set the stage for a thrilling competition among some of the region’s most promising artists from Teso, Eastern, Northern, and Central districts.

Okeng Born Town’s chart-topping track “My Charana,” Maros’ catching hit “Gala Eye,” and Ashaan’s empowering anthem “Problem” have all been nominated for the category, Best Regional Song of the Year.

These brilliant artists will face tough competition from fellow regional talents including Josh Rash, Karah Gloria, Emily Kikazi, Omutume Planet, Ray G, Titus Vybes, Planet Aaron, Shanandi, and Tinah Baiby.

The winners of the HiPipo Music Awards 2023 will be crowned during the grand ceremony scheduled for November 17th, 2023, at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The HiPipo Music Awards, renowned for celebrating and promoting exceptional talents across the African continent, continues to be a beacon for recognizing outstanding musical achievements.

Innocent Kawooya, the CEO of HiPipo, expressed his excitement, stating, “The unveiling of the 2023 HMA nominations is a testament to the richness of African music. We are now calling upon all music enthusiasts to cast their votes for their favorite acts and artists. This is a celebration of the soundtracks of our lives from October 5th, 2022, to October 5th, 2023.”

Kawooya continued, “Our past ceremonies have showcased stellar performances, and this year promises even more dazzle. Stay tuned for the list of performers. But, for now, let’s ensure our favorite artists get the spotlight they deserve by voting for them.”

Music enthusiasts and fans alike are encouraged to participate in the voting process, which will remain open until 6:00 PM on November 17th, 2023. Following the conclusion of the voting period, anticipation will build as the stage is set for the grand announcement of the winners on the same night.
