THE REVIEW BY BHENDRIL
The intro “Atini Kit Amari kede, Naka onywali myero nywari kede, Kao ling alinga nyo Otimo bal” immediately captured my attention and keen my anticipation for the video.
As many artists struggles with placing lyrics in dancehall beats, with Lil Square, this has become his signature style. There’s no doubt that he brings sweetness to the base beams every time.
I had never listened to the “Mit Pono Pono” audio produced by Roxklyn of Daab Step Records before, but when I saw the video, the intro featuring a walk with his fiancée on a donkey beautifully showcased the essence of love.

As they moved to the beach, I believe Morish Riise, the video director of Covenant Films and motorboat instructor, might have felt a touch of jealousy seeing the lovebirds express their affection in the Nile while being documented. The white costume in the beach just reminds me of old day’s song, – Beautiful Onyinye of P-Square ft. Rick Ross
“Mit Pono Pono” is also another promising dancehall love song translating to “Confidential Dating.” Lil Square expresses his love for his married wife, disliking the idea of making love in isolation and dealing with subsequent rumors. He wants his lover to be proud of him and to let the streets know about their love.

Despite the good visuals, my disappointment lies in the lack of local scenes in the video. Including local scenes would have made the video more engaging and appealing to a broader audience, even though budget constraints might have been a factor.
However, I still believe the song is a club banger. Those familiar with Morish Riise’s work will notice significant improvements in video quality. The storyline is clear and easily understood, even by those who may not grasp the lyrics.
