Retired Commissioner of Police (RTD CP) Obura Deo has on the 22nd of April 2024 officially concluded his tenure as the Regional Police Commander (RPC) of North Kyoga Region, marking the end of a memorable career spanning 36 years in the Uganda Police Force.
Following the mandatory retirement age of 60 years, RTD CP Obura Deo handed over the pedals to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Tugiziire Allan.

During his farewell address, RTD CP Obura Deo commended the exceptional team he had the privilege to work with, highlighting their diverse skills and unwavering dedication to their duties.
He emphasized the importance of building a career within the police force and urged officers to uphold professionalism in securing life and property, fostering development, and maintaining strong partnerships with the public.
According to a statement by North Kyoga PRO, SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, RTD CP Obura Deo’s tenure was marked by his commitment to excellence, as evidenced by his clean disciplinary and criminal record throughout his service. His departure from office comes with a legacy of integrity and dedication to duty.
In his parting words, RTD CP Obura Deo expressed gratitude for the support of his colleagues and called for continued cooperation as SSP Tugiziire Allan assumes command of the North Kyoga region as he wait for a substantial posting or a message confirming him in office. He extended his best wishes to all officers for success in their daily work and career endeavors.
SP Okema further notes that RTD CP Obura Deo’s tenure leaves behind a legacy of professionalism and service that will continue to inspire the force.
