Young Northern Ugandan Hip-Hop Star Timcence Wins Big at Ugandan Hip Hop Awards 2023.

Timcence, a young and promising Northern Ugandan hip-hop artist, has emerged as one of the big winners at the recently concluded Ugandan Hip Hop Awards (UGHHA) 2023. The awards ceremony took place on June 23rd at Motiv in Bugolobi, Kampala.

Timcence won two major awards, including Best Northern Hip Hop Artist of the Year and Sweet 16 (Verse of the Year).

He beat out some heavy competition, including Judah Rap Knowledge (Mungwa), T Worthy Wyler (Legendary), Toobi Smolz (Bed Mega), and Hell B (Real Friends), with his hit song “Unthinkable.” He also won the Sweet 16 award for his track “Quit that Game,” where he battled against Tucker Hd, The Homie, 207, and St Maxi Mayne.

The UGHHA is an annual event that aims to recognize and celebrate achievements within the Ugandan hip hop culture. The awards show provides a platform for emerging talent, showcasing the past, present, and future of the genre in Uganda.

Other winners at this year’s UGHHA include Flex D’Paper, who won Album of the Year for “Kampala Boy,” Yala Mc, who was named Female Rapper of the Year, and Fik Fameica, who won Male Rapper of the Year. The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Babaluku, while Frank Ntambi won Media Personality of the Year.
