Yesterday September 9th, 2022, a team of act lovers in partnership with different Media houses launched the Devout Gospel Awards at Zeagans Hotel Annex in Lira City.
The Devout Initiative is a prestigious program entitled to recognise acts in Gospel music industry from Northern Uganda, Lango, Acholi, Teso and WestNile subregions.
The awards seek to wards recognizing and rewarding formidable implementers and acts.
With this initiative, Mr. Benard Otim the CEO Devout Awards called upon all the Gospel artistes in this regions to make the best use of this initiative.
He believes in the course of 3 years, Devout Awards will be catering across the the Country, Uganda.
He is also calling upon different organiners to take come up and put a hand in Developing ghe initiative.
With the theme, celebrating the God’s gifts and Talent, atleast 19 categories have been launched gor Nomintions and they are.
1. Decade gospel artist of the year(Lango,Acholi,WestNile and Teso can participate).
2.Overall gospel artist of the year(Lango,Acholi,WestNile and Teso can participate).

13. Most outstanding Church choir of the year.

Briefly, Devout Gospel Music Awards is the first gospel music Award in Northern Uganda, covering Lango, Acholi, Teso, and WestNile.
Nominations started three days ago and it will run Upto 30th.Sept.2022.
The event day is scheduled on the 10th.12.2022 at St Lira Hotel. Atleast top 5 most nominated artist will be selected for voting.
