Kampala Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, has issued a warning to the government in light of the recent murder of State Minister for Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations, Col (rtd) Charles Okello Engola.
Engola was reportedly shot dead by his bodyguard, Private Wilson Sabiti, who had allegedly gone months without pay.
Lukwago has called on the government to improve the welfare of security officers to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
Lukwago expressed concern that many Ugandans are living with deep-seated anger that could lead to trouble if not addressed.
He cautioned that people are becoming increasingly frustrated with those who live extravagantly at the expense of others.
