Tekere Laki Clan daughter Deborah Angom Elizabeth Okuju was named Miss Miss Lango 2022-2023, culminating the Miss Lango Beauty pageant on Saturday night at Grand Pacific Hotel Lira City.
In an event attended by Lango Parliamentary Group with the Chairperson, Judith Alyek woman MP Kole District as the invited Guest accompanied by her Vice Hon. Okot Bitek member of Parliament, Kyoga County and Lira City Mayor Atul Sam, the 12 contestants were allowed to take part and competed in Saturday’s event.
Based on the theme, “Lango Culture My Heritage and Pride” the 12 contestants were given time to show case what they got to prove their credibility in the Contest.
The Contest was sliced into two sections, the first and second knock out where 6 contestants were knock out of the Contest and remains 6 for the second round.
Being a tight trial, Contestants number 11, 1, 3, 12, 7 and 10 went through for further action where the final decisions resulted to crowning of a 21 year Deborah Angom Elizabeth Okuju as the First Miss Lango 2022-2023.
Miss Angom is a student of at Makerere University pursuing Bachelors Degree in Arts hailing from Tekere Laki clan in Amolatar District.

Tekere Laki daughter was also crowned as Miss Popularity Lango and the the face of Amolatar District.
