The pageant, which aims to showcase the beauty and cultural richness of the Lango people, promises to be a thrilling affair. The contestants come from different clans and districts, making this a true celebration of Lango diversity. The age range is 20-23 years old, and they are pursuing various fields of study or occupations, including economics, statistics, journalism, biomedical engineering, teaching, agriculture, and entrepreneurship.
Introducing the official contestants of Miss Lango 2023/24! These ten talented and inspiring young women are ready to embark on a journey of a lifetime, showcasing the beauty and culture of the Lango people.
Contestant No.11 is Akot Gillians Tracy, a 20-year-old student pursuing a Bachelor of Economics and Statistics. She hails from the Ocukuru Ogora district in Kole and belongs to the Ocuucu clan.
Contestant No.10 is Adongo Linda, a 23-year-old agriculturalist from Inomo district in Kwania. She represents the Inomo clan.
At No.9, we have Akello Sandra Angella, a 22-year-old student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. She comes from Ayer Adwarkori district in Oyam and belongs to the Ayer clan.
Contestant No.8 is Akello Shamim Ali, a 21-year-old entrepreneur from Otikokin City in Lira. She represents the Otikokin clan.
At No.7, we have Alobo Rita, a 23-year-old journalism student from Lipa district in Kwania. She belongs to the Lipa clan.
Contestant No.6 is Awidi Irene Ongu, a 21-year-old teacher from Palamyeck district in Otuke. She represents the Palamyeck clan.
At No.5, we have Angom Dorine Irene, a 23-year-old police officer from Okii Bura district in Lira. She belongs to the Okii clan.
Contestant No.4 is Amolo Elizabeth, a 22-year-old entrepreneur from Arak Okwero Ocoboro City in Lira. She represents the Arak clan.
At No.3, we have Apio Robina, a 22-year-old police officer from Bakopalamyek City in Lira. She belongs to the Bakopalamyek clan.
Contestant No.2 is Acen Rosemary, a 22-year-old teacher from Okii Ojukol district in Lira. She represents the Okii clan.
And finally, at No.1, we have Amongi Zittus Birthy, a 22-year-old fashion designer from Todi district in Lira. She belongs to the Todi clan.
