TESO: Ariokot Faith Breaks Guinness World Record with Extraordinary Tree Hug

Soroti’s Ariokot Faith Patricia has achieved an extraordinary feat by breaking and setting her milestone for the Guinness World Record for the longest tree hug.

Surpassing the previous record of 8 hours, Faith has set a new benchmark at an impressive 13 hours. Her dedication and determination were evident as she aimed to extend the record to an incredible 17 hours. However, nature had its own plans, and at the 15-hour and 19-minute mark, lightning struck, compelling Faith and her team to halt the attempt.

Despite the unexpected end to her tree-hugging endeavor, Ariokot Faith Patricia stands as the new Guinness World Record holder for the longest tree hug.

Ariokot first attempted and broke the world record but her camera glitched and missed minutes of the first attempt on the 8th of December 2023. Therefore she decided to make another attempt on the 29th of December 2023 at 6:30am at Hotel May 7 in Soroti City.

The record is now pending review and approval from the official entity. Faith’s resilience and commitment to her goal have garnered admiration, and her journey serves as an inspiring example of pushing boundaries and challenging one’s limits.

As the Guinness World Record organization reviews and verifies Faith’s achievement, her story becomes an inspiration for individuals aspiring to break barriers and set new records.

Faith adds her attempt to Mama D who set her own record for the longest cooking hours — 144 hours 7 7 seconds. If both declared, Uganda will have six certified Guinness World Record Holders
