At least eight people have been discharged after full recovery from Ebola Virus Disease- EBV at Mubende Epicenter according to the Ministry of Health.
This has been disclosed by the Minister of Health, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero while accompanied by the key partners during the visit at Madudu Health centre III in Mubende district where she has also had a National Taskforce meeting at the Council where an Ebola Treatment Unit has been constructed by MSF.
Minister Aceng says that among the recoveries, one has objected to stay at the health centre to take care of her two year old baby and the husband who are still positive of Ebola.
She says that the cumulative confirmed cases stand at 44, after one new confirmed case was registered in Mubende in the last 24 hours while 10 are confirmed cumulative deaths after zero new deaths were reported.
One of the health workers who got infected with Ebola is expected to be discharged tomorrow after responding well to the treatment according to the minister.
Dr Aceng however appreciates the government for the timely response to the Ebola outbreak and thanks the district task force as well as the partners for ensuring that Ebola is contained.
