Lango leaders under the umbrella National Resistance Movement (NRM) has called upon the communities in lango Sub Region join hands in supporting General Muhoozi Kainerugaba as their possible replacement for Presdent Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa in the forthcoming years.
This was on Saturday 6th June 2022 during the launch of `Muhoozi project` at Lira City Council hall where hundreds of people from different parts of Lango Sub region were in attendance.
In the course of the launch, the Lawrence Egole the Lira City Residence Commissioner referred Gen. Muhoozi as God the son, President Museveni as God the father and NRM cadres as God the Holy Spirit.
He urged god the holy spirit to move out and preach the good news about Muhoozi.
“We have political demons disturbing this country and it is you to preach the Gospel of love, of prosperity to those little devils.” Said Commisioner Egole.
The chairperson Lango Parliamentary group, Judith Alyek said they are smart and sure in mobilizing for the next president of Uganda while using Nrm structure that has been in to existence for many past regimes.
She added no one is forcing Gen. Muhoozi into Presidency but it’s out of his motivation and careers of leadership.
“We see Gen. Muhoozi as the next person who is fit to really replace Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni…” Said Hon. Judith Alyek.
The Otuke district Resident District Commissioner, Gillian Akullu encouraged the NRM Cadres to keep on advocating for the Empty Seats in the Yellow Bus.
“I am and encouraging you keep on pulling more, the buss is not yet full, the tires are still very stable, we ready to put new tires, we must secure this country hundred percent.” RDC Gillian Akullu
Meanwhile Patrick Awongo the regional coordinator Muhoozi project appealed to the people of Lango to co support Gen. Muhoozi just to enable peace and accelerate development in the region.
Mr. Awongo climes Gen. Muhoozi has all the abilities and experience of leadership that will gear up his Presidency.
Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba is an Ugandan military commander serving as the commander of the land forces of the Uganda People’s Defence Force and who was previously the commander of the Special Forces Command.
It has always been rumored that He has shown interest to replace his father, H.E Presdent Yuweri Kaguta Museveni as the President of the Republic of Uganda.
