Ghetto Kids Manager: We Went to Enjoy Not to Win

After a successful run on the popular British Got Talent (BGT) competition, the Ghetto Kids are back home in Uganda. The group, which captured the hearts of many with their energetic dance performances, received great appreciation from the judges and even earned a golden buzzer, which took them straight to the semi-finals.

Despite not winning the competition, the Ghetto Kids made it all the way to the finals and finished in sixth place. However, their performance left a lasting impression on many viewers around the world, with some Ugandans expressing disappointment in the final result.

Some critics have accused the BGT franchise of using the Ghetto Kids to promote the show, but the group’s manager, Dauda Kavuma, has dismissed these claims, stating that their primary goal was to enjoy the experience.

“We went to enjoy. And we did. Our goal wasn’t necessarily to win. If we had won, that would have been a bonus,” said Kavuma.

Regardless of the outcome, the Ghetto Kids have undoubtedly made their mark on the global stage, showcasing their talent and representing Uganda with pride.
