Veterant multimedia journalist Benson Ongom bid farewell to his role as the Bureau Chief for the Acholi Sub-region at Next Media Group.
Ongom, known for his remarkable contributions to journalism, announced his departure on September 1, 2023, signaling the commencement of an exciting new chapter in his professional journey.
The renowned journalist has decided to transition into the realm of Public Relations and Corporate Affairs, where he is set to play a pivotal role at Atiak Sugar.
Taking to Twitter to express his enthusiasm and dedication to this fresh venture, Ongom shared his thoughts, “I take on one new direction, Public Relations and Corporate Affairs at Atiak Sugar. I’m aware of the journey and what lies ahead. For those who know me, I have stood firm on new challenges. This one, with many reasons onto why I took it, it’s time to give back, time to deliver, no doubt the good work will be done. To my team, Emma David – Manager, Corporate Affairs, Lucy Acii – Media Manager, and Lakor Siray – Content Officer. Let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work. A new journey has begun.”
Ongom also graciously acknowledged his successor, Mr. Omagor Joseph, a former journalist at Vision Group, who will assume the role of Bureau Chief for the Acholi subregion.
