In Northern Uganda, there has been a longstanding gap between gospel music and world music.
However, recent trends are indicating a shift towards inspirational songs that offer comfort and motivation to those in struggles.
Gospel musicians have often felt unrecognized by other musicians, but new artists like Tx Eima are emerging and bridging the gap.
One such up-and-coming group is Kendle Pulse, an undisputed Christian band comprising of six talented musicians from different church choir groups in Lira City. The band comprises two females and four males, including Maker Dagona, D’babe, BLOVE, Aron Op, Cissy, and Raffi, who have been singing together for almost a decade.
According to Sam O, the band’s action manager and music producer, Kendle Pulse has several talented members who are yet to be discovered by fans of good music. The band has already produced six songs together and is planning a one-year anniversary celebration in December.
He also encourages their fellow musicians to find side hustles for a better living, exemplifying the importance of financial stability in the music industry.
With their unique blend of inspiration and talent, Kendle Pulse is poised to make a significant impact in Northern Uganda’s music scene and beyond.
