Northern Uganda musician Atine Maros, popularly known as Professa Maros, has expressed his grief over the passing of former Rubaga South Member of Parliament, Kato Lubwama. The musician took to his Facebook page to share his condolences and fond memories of the late actor and comedian.

The Yin ilo hit maker described the late Lubwama as a fun-loving person who was always great company. He recalled about a conversation they had where he asked if Lubwama had ever been a soccer player because of his legs. Lubwama jokingly replied that his legs never worked together, but he forced them to come back together, hence the curves.

He was so much fun to be around Here I had asked him if he ever was a soccer player because of his legs. Lubwama was a well-known figure in Uganda’s entertainment industry. He gained popularity as a co-founder of the Diamonds Ensemble group and later hosted the Kalisoliso show on CBS FM.
He was also actively involved in preparing a play called “Cease Fire” at the time of his passing. The play aimed to shed light on the current state of the country.

Kato Lubwama passed away on June 7 after battling heart complications for an extended period. Despite seeking medical attention from international hospitals, he couldn’t overcome the health issue and breathed his last at Stana Medical Centre in Bunamwaya, Wakiso district.
His demise marks a significant loss to Uganda’s political and entertainment spheres. May His Soul Rest.
