Renowned events host MC Dogo Destiny has opened up about the tough times he faced while he was a struggling musician. Despite his passion for music, the difficult conditions and lack of resources forced him to quit producing music and turn to Emceeing (MC) instead.
MC Dogo also revealed that during his early days in the music industry, there were no social media platforms like Facebook or WhatsApp to help with faster marketing. Instead, he had to rely on Kabiriti and Kigunda button phones which made things even harder.
MC Dogo also recounted an incident where he took his song to be played on the radio, only to be asked for 10,000 UGX (Ugandan shillings) by the presenter. This was a huge amount of money for him at the time, as he could only survive on 1,000 to 2,000 UGX per day.
Despite these challenges, MC Dogo did not give up. He persevered and eventually found success as an events MC, now considered one of the biggest in the region. His hard work and determination paid off, and he is now able to stand tall and proud of his achievements.
MC Dogo’s story serves as an inspiration to many young people who may be facing similar challenges in their pursuit of their passions.
With hard work, perseverance, and a never-give-up attitude, anything is possible.
