The second edition of Miss Lango Beauty Pageant 2023/24 has been officially launched, and the theme for this year is “Embracing Cultural Tourism.”

The pageant aims to showcase the beauty of the Lango people and promote cultural tourism in the region. The current Miss Lango, Deborah Elizabeth Angom, will be handing over her crown to the next queen.
To qualify for the pageant, interested candidates must meet specific requirements. Firstly, they must be aged between 16-26 years old, and secondly, they must be a Lango. Additionally, they should be fluent in speaking Lango language (Leb Lango) and not married nor have children. Finally, it is essential to note that candidates should not have tattoos.
Application forms are available at local radio stations in Lira City, including Unity FM, Voice Of Lango FM, Radio Wa, and Q FM. The deadline for applications is April 30th, 2023, with a fee of UGX. 50,000.
The pageant is an excellent opportunity for young Lango women to showcase their talents and represent their culture.
It will help boost tourism in the region, highlighting the unique customs and traditions of the Lango people. In addition, being crowned Miss Lango opens doors to several opportunities, including modelling, public speaking, and charity work.
