In a tight battle where 14 pageants showed case, a 24 year old, Alaba Charity hailing from Dokolo District has made Lango proud again as she was crown the Miss Tourism Northern Uganda 2022.
She officially takes the crowned that was previously being worn by Lira City Female Youth Councillor Hon. Among Shakila retaining the position for Lango Subregion once again.
This years event ceremony was held on Saturday, 3rd, September at Bomah Hotel, Gulu City under the theme “Rural and Community Centric Tourism” where Miss. Alaba emerged the overall winner of the Contest and a 23 year old, Isabella Aya from Omoro District securing the first runner up Position.
Arach Mercy Wendy, 21 year old from Omoro District also came in as the second runner-up.
Miss Alaba is now eyeing at Miss Tourism Uganda Contest scheduled to commence on 23rd September this year where she is calling upon everyone to support her in the National Race.
She however spotted some projects that she will focus on as Miss Tourism Northern Uganda.
“I will hold marathon campaigns to have roads leading go Tourism sites improved. The she leader project that will focus on empowering girls to take leadership space in the society” Says Miss Alaba.
She thanked each and every who has been part of her journey as Miss Tourism Northern Uganda.
