AMURIA –Police in wera sub-county in Amuria district are investigating a case in which a suspect identified as Okurut Micheal a male adult aged 39 years allegedly slapped the State Minister for Works also Amuria County MP Musa Francis Ecweru during Sunday service at St. Micheal Catholic church infront of his bodyguard.
It’s alleged that Okurut came before the alter like other congregants, knelt down got his blessings afterwards he got up and surprisingly slapped the minister as he was giving his sermon.
Oscar Gregg Ageca a police spokesperson for East Kyoga region in a statement said, Okurut was thereafter immediately subdued by the Ministers body guards with no harm was occasioned on the Ministers person.
