Awio Scrap Dealer Quits Music for God`s Ministry and Business

Northern Uganda’s fast-rising gospel sensation, Pastor Isaac Awio, widely known as Awio Scrap Dealer, has announced his decision to quit music, marking the end of a remarkable chapter in his life.

Awio’s meteoric rise this year was nothing short of phenomenal. His breakout hit, “Wonders”, a collaboration with Northern dancehall star Eezzy De Lyrical, became an anthem of hope and joy across the region. Yet, despite his rapid success and widespread acclaim, Awio has decided to leave the spotlight to pursue his true calling—God’s ministry and business.

“Music was a journey of passion, but now it’s time to focus on my greater purpose and expanding my businesses,” Awio revealed in an exclusive interview.

Beyond his musical talents, Awio has built a thriving business empire. He owns the popular Heaven Hotel Lira and Heaven Hotel Annex Kitgum, known for their exceptional hospitality. Additionally, his involvement in the scrap trade, which inspired his nickname, showcases his entrepreneurial spirit.

This decision is not a retreat but a strategic shift. Awio intends to leave a lasting legacy through his ministry and ventures, aiming to impact his community beyond entertainment. He has confirmed he will no longer perform at concerts, signaling a clear break from his musical career.

Although his time in the gospel industry was brief, Awio’s “Wonders” secures his place in Northern Uganda’s music history. As he transitions, he remains committed to inspiring others through faith and business.
