As the deadline for applications for the second edition of Miss Lango draws near, a female radio presenter attached to Voice of Lango FM-Lira City, Rita Alobo, has announced her intention to compete for the crown.
Alobo, who is also a journalist by profession, believes she has what it takes to win the beauty pageant and has even shared her knowledge of local cuisine by providing a recipe for preparing a traditional bread from millet grains.
In her story titled “KAL KWON,” Alobo highlights the importance of knowing certain cultural practices, such as preparing kwon kal, a type of bread made from newly harvested millet. She emphasizes that being able to do these things well is not only important for personal growth but also for gaining the respect and trust of others in the community.
