The speaker of Lira City West Division Mr Dan Okello has expressed dissatisfaction at the way Boundary Road is being constructed.
He said that, according to the project’s plan, the road should be 20 metres wide and not 15 metres as it is being constructed at the moment.
However the mayor of Lira City, Mr Sam Atul, rejected Okello’s allegation as false and advised him to seek clear information from an appropriate office in Lira City Council.
Boundary Road, 2.177 KM, is some kind of ring road that lies on the northern outskirts of Lira City. It is one the several roads in Lira City being constructed under the on-going second phase of USMID project worth 37.6 billion shillings.
